i2 uses a Training Baseline as a tried and true method for creating effective training within the ISD framework.
Through a series of spiral upgrades, i2 can develop training that evolves as the customer’s needs change or as
external factors dictate.
Elements of the subject matter such as doctrine, technical specifications and system functions are assessed and categorized
into tasks that can be grouped together to form identifiable and measurable objectives. These objectives lead to the
Operational Baseline by which all students are measured.
The Operational Baseline then gives the training staff proper direction in the creation and maintenance of the training
design, trainer requirements, system validation and other critical outputs of the process.
