This month on Wednesday October 27th, we will be hosting our 17th Webinar our CMMC.
Topic: The Business Continuity Plan (BCP)
A business continuity plan (BCP) is a document that outlines how a business will continue operating during an unplanned disruption in service... especially in terms of a cybersecurtiy breach, or ransom-ware attack.
As many of our webinar attendees know after a year of our i2 CMMC Webinars, that the new CMMC standard specifically calls out requirements for preparing documentation for all domains in order to achieve compliance. Even though this condition was not explicitly requested in a NIST 800-171 self assessment, it's noted in the DFARS appendix that it was assumed you had the appropriate documentation.
As the CMMC certification processes continue to evolve, you can begin to prepare your company to meet the requirements of the new standard. You can start now by learning about the processes and building out your documentation that is called out in NIST, and is now a part of the complete CMMC compliance process.
CMMC Maturity Levels 2, 3, 4, and 5 will require Policy, Process, and Plan documents, and according to NIST, here are the plans you should have in place:
- Business Continuity Plans << Right at the top of the list ! >>
